Mrs. Mary KingName:  Mary King (Mrs. King)

Director/Room 2 Teacher

Background:  Mary has been teaching in early childhood for over 20 years, taking a few years off to begin raising her family. Mary joined the Circle Center staff in 2000 working with the 3 year olds  until the opportunity came where she could work with her dream group, the 4 & 5 year olds. She became director in 2007 to help keep the continuity of the ministry in the ever changing times.  She is married to Tom and has 3 adult daughters and a stepson.  She has taught in both preschool and day care programs, gleaning whatever she can and bringing it with her to seek a quality, God pleasing program.

Church Affiliation:  North Point Church

Hobbies:  Reading, crafts, camping, cooking, family time

What I like about being at Circle Center:  Circle Center is an amazing place to be! To have a staff that not only respects each other, but genuinely loves each other, their job and the students is almost unheard of. I love being a part of a ministry that does so much good in developing the lives of the young and the furthering of God’s kingdom. We are a team that is bonded in Christ and I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

 

Mrs. Lisa HollardName: Lisa Hollard (Mrs. Lisa)

Office Manager

Background: Lisa is married to Andrew, they have one son and one daughter and a dog. She teaches the 3 year old Sunday School class and is the Secretary for the Awana Club. She worked in the church office as Bookkeeper for more than 9 years. Lisa has a BA in Economics from Barat College.

Church Affiliation: Christ Community Church

Hobbies: Knitting, Counted Cross-stitch, Puzzles and Reading

What I Like About Circle Center: I really like working in a Christian environment. I like having a lot of variety in the work I do. I enjoy the time that I do spend in the classroom, seeing the kids trying new things and listening to them tell about what they have been learning and doing.

 

Mrs. Jenny FitzgibbonsName: Jenny Fitzgibbons (Mrs. Fitz)

Room 1 Teacher

Background: Jenny began at Circle Center in 1999. Teaching is her second career, following a stint as a full time homemaker, beginning when her youngest started school. Jenny is married to Keith and they have 3 daughters, a son, and a dog . Jenny delights in teaching children skills to be more independent. She loves children’s literature, science and nature. Prior to working at Circle Center, Jenny served for 11 years in the Awana Cubbies program as Director, Leader and Listener. She also served as church Librarian which featured a children’s Church time story hour.

Hobbies: Gardening, Reading, Walking, Biking, Quilting

What I like about being at Circle Center:  I love working in a Christian setting with people who love God, their co-workers, their students and the families of the students. I enjoy working with preschoolers who still love learning & and don’t mind when their teacher gets a bit silly. I love the freedom I have to teach about God’s love and care for us. I love seeing the brothers, sisters, cousins & friends of my students coming to Circle Center over the years. I also love working half-days that allows me to be available to my family.

 

Name: Josephine Huber (Mrs. Huber)

Room 2 Teacher MWF

Background: 

Josephine is married to John, she has two grown children, Jeff and Jolene . Josephine received a BA in Music from TrinityCollege with a Voice emphasis in 1984. She first worked at CircleCenter in Room 1 with Edna Hadaway in 1994 and 1995. She then left and returned in January of 2003. Josephine has had various teaching experiences. She has taught Sunday School, substituted in the Zion Elementary schools, general music K-5th grade, early childhood music classes, voice instructor at the Zion Conservatory of Music, and church Choir Director.

Church Affiliation: Crossway Community Church

Hobbies: She sings a lot! She gives lessons in her home and at the Jack Benny Center of the Arts. She sings in the church Choir, music team, ensembles, and solo. She also enjoys reading and walking her two Pomeranians, Snuggle Bear and Sunshine.

What I like about being at Circle Center: I love working with the children. It is so much fun to see their development from the beginning of the school year to the end of the year. I work with a wonderful supportive staff. We laugh a lot and we are all like family.

 

Miss Caitlin KingName: Caitlin Willett (Miss Caitlin)

Sustitute

Background: Caitlin started working at Circle Center in 2012. Prior tothis, Caitlin was active in the Awana Cubbies program, church nursery,children’s church, and Vacation Bible School. She has also worked for a licensed at home childcare provider. Caitlin’s love for children is only exceeded by her love for baking. She has received her certificate of baking and pastry from the Art Institute in Chicago and is working on her Hospitality Management degree at the College of Lake County. Though her future goal is to open her own bakery, she is enjoying her time learning, growing and being able to share her love with the children in her classroom.

Hobbies: Baking and watching Movies

What I like about being at Circle Center:  I love seeing the kids learn new concepts and the excitement they have over the smallest things. I also enjoy working with people who genuinely care about me and the other people they come in contact with.
